I'm Nash… from Sakleshpur. I work in a local coffee powder shop here. We don't just sell coffee – we grow the beans, roast it, grind it… everything from scratch. Pure filter kaapi 

Now why I’m writing this? Coz honestly… everyday in shop ppl come and ask “Coffee powder idya?” I say “Filter aa?” They go, “hmm... Bru ideya?”

For them, coffee means just Bru or Nescafe.

And I feel like shouting – “Yenri! That’s instant! Real coffee yenu gotha?” 

So yeah… wanted to write this real quick. Chill blog for all my hostel bros, working girls, college kids… who’re confused about filter coffee vs instant coffee. Let’s go 

What is Instant Coffee?

Ok bro, straight… instant coffee is like maggi. Open packet, hot water, done.

That powder? It's already cooked coffee. They make decoction, dry it into powder. So when u add hot water… boom. It comes back to life.

I used to drink this a lot in my hostel days...

One cup before exam = brain boost 😅

Good things:

* Fast af

* Cheap

* Easy to make in PG/hostel

But...

* Taste? 🤷‍♂️

* Smell? What smell?

* It’s like kissing through phone. Not real love 


Filter Coffee – Our OG Kaapi ❤️

Filter kaapi is not just coffee... it an emotion 

We take real beans. Roast it – smell fills the whole street 😍 Then grind it fresh. Not too fine… not too coarse. Perfect grind.

Then we pour hot water slowly in the filter… it drips, drop by drop. That’s decoction. We mix it with hot milk n sugar.

Uff. Heaven.

That first sip in a steel tumbler – goosebumps 🙏

Why it’s best:

* Pure flavour

* Strong but smooth

* Feels like home, da

Little minus:

* Time thumba beku

* Need filter n some patience

* Not hostel-friendly always

But trust me… once u taste it... you will never go back to that instant stuff

Filter kaapi  is not just a drink bro… it’s a ritual. Especially here in South India.

So yeah, next time u buy coffee, just try filter once. Ask your ajji or appa how they make it. Or come to Sakleshpur… I'll show you the whole process myself 😎
